Harmony H5 lapsteel wiring - P13 pickup

Text and pictures from Sean Kilback - Thanks Sean !

Here's my new 1950 Harmony H5 Lap Steel. I've had this for a while and just got around to restringing it with 12s and checking out the wiring and also taking photos.

Here's a schematic, then more photos below... Enjoy !

So the volume control is a 500K pot made by IRC, and the tone pot is a 50K IRC. The tone cap is a .02uF 400VDC Grey Tiger by Cornell Dublier (same cap used in early 50's Les Pauls). The tone pot is connected backwards... you turn it COUNTER clockwise to increase treble. Cool ! I've noted the markings on the sides of the pots on the schematic below, so "035" would indicate the 35th week of 1950.

The pickup is the Gibson-made (probably) "Tone Emphasizer" P13 variant and reads about 7.9K.
