Acoustic flatop 12 string - Sunburst
Production year(s) : 1940-1964 (other years possible, not verified)
Older "Rounded" body. Precise model number is FF922 in 1940 catalog. Replaced by H912 with new "Grand concert" body shape in 1965. My STELLA is marked with 71C H922
The STELLA marking is in gold with block letters. I was told it is rare. Year 1940

My H922 has 2163 H 922
The date stamp is F-62 with small letters "Made In USA"below the date.
However my body shape is clearly that of a 912, but there's no pick guard and no truss rod. I'm thinking 1962 is a crossover year from the 922 to the 912.
So glad people are realizing that these guitars are worth restoring!,
Thanks for the great site.

i've got one of these (i think) but it must've been a crossover year because my headstock just says "STELLA" (no harmony), no truss rod, black pickguard, two tone sunburst. i have yet to find any other stellas like it.
