Great Guitar. I love the sound. I have fellow guitar players looking for one.

I wanted one in '69 but couldn't afford it. Finally found one on e-Bay. 100% original, but had to be cleaned up. Looks great. Pickups are a bit noisy, but plays well after I adjusted the truss rod. Glad I have it.

I bought a Red Rocket-/1 in 1969 in 9th grade w/$115 worth of paper route $. It had a cardboard case & a "hippie" strap - which I still have. I foolishly sold it in '72, to get an SG. That was stolen from my dorm room, but I ended up w/ a '72 Gold-top Les which I DO still have... I do miss the ol' ROcket tho & love this site so full of info.
Maybe I'll go over to Craig's or e-bay & see if I can find another one !
Great stuff & Best Regards from an old Rocket Rocker!

I have a H56-1 which your site said they made until 1971. The inside is stamped 6153H56-1.
When I looked under the bridge pick up it is stamped APR 5 1972. Apparently they made them through 1972.

Just bought a beautiful Rocket, glad to find so much info on this site.

I just found one of these and it plays like a dream. It's a 1971 without the bar. The head stock has some nicks and touch ups on the back that don't look too great and a couple small ones on the neck but, the tone and action is really great. Pots are clean, body is great and pickups are perfect. I hesitantly plan on selling @500 due to medical bills from my heart attack.

I bought H54-1 probably in 1983 for $75. Held onto it and it has sat for at least 20 years. Cleaning it up to play or sell...having trouble reading the date stamp. Serial number is 2703H54-1...although what I am reading as a 0 is faded. It has 2 pick ups and the chrome vibrato tailpiece. Bridge came off and am assuming it is a floating bridge and wasn’t glued. Also I am wondering what I might do clean up the chrome inside the tailpiece. There is some rust on the inside but the external chrome is good. Any tips on cleaning up guitar are appreciated.
