I am the proud owner of one and I am the original owner. I purchased my brand new Harmony in 1969 and it hangs on my wall in my music room. My Harmony is an every day player and 38yrs later still sounds great today. I am sure this Harmony has great value today. - ST James - 2015-07-07
I'm. At the end of my career, and during it zi played what i thought was the best in the 70s in NYC PUNK was all the rage but I played Angry Blues and di ok with 12 LP n playing in8 others cd. now according to my contract I owe one last LP bit in the past 7 years I've had 16 Heart Surgeries ha Pacemaker so iaskedthemmtolet me do this best part is friend i ve met over the years have agreed tone on it so each song will have a Special, guest from BUddy Gy, Derek Trucks, Warren Naynes, Joe Bonamassa n Joe Perry oddly vp a k in 61 while in an orphanage the corner store guy up gave me my first guitar a Harmony acoustic, so z never took a lesson...I leaned where the sounds were in each string n it served me wel as zi made money from tours record sales zi bout some great guitars a 55 LP, 61' 62' 72 Es-335"' plenty of LP s n of course a 61 SG n. Three LPRs but with all, that my tone eluded me i wanted that RAWNESS I heard fromHound Dog Taylor, Hubert Sumlin, all three Kings etc.... the a Friend gave me a 63 BOBKAT, solid Mahogany body it was no different than a LP Special well Now I have a 58 Silvertone Espanada MINT original a 56 ROY S,zeck Archtop with a single P-13, a 66 Harmony Rocket 2 and just now an H-59-1. So pretty n tone to die for. I also grabbed a an H-74-1 with Stock BIGSBY, I'm still looking for a decent Kay Jimmy Reed with the Kelvinator head stock, Adding a great old SUPRO or my 54 Fender Deluxeor my Vintage Ampegs , I soon found the tone was hiding behind the name zharmonySivertone U can make mods that are easy to return to original but that gretsch Bridge into ayes perfectly. I,m sold on these n just got a 50 watt Danelectro amp..so lunch, I m guessing that these will soon be the collectibles as they have risen I price 2-3 times in18 months... I,ll keep buying items that are original n mint Ago bad as a kid zi was taught to think there were sub par guitars, for what I have invested in a vintage again us ngenders i couldhave 200 Harmony,s Silvertones, n Kay's. Thanks to this site for the knowledge , zi how to soon be able to send in pics.... NTW the P-13s Gibson sold to zharmony was the DUMBEXT thing Gibson did n the smartest thing zharmony did.... these at NOT Toys but very reliable guitars...BUYnone if ya hate it all but it from ya St James
