Brand : Rickenbacker - (1932-1950) - Harmony made the very first guitars electrified by Rickenbacker. Most have the old "Rickenbacher Electro" former spelling nameplate. Some others were made by Kay.
Guitars shown below were made by Harmony and sold under the Rickenbacker brand. It doesn't mean that all Rickenbacker guitars were made by Harmony.

Guitar made by Harmony for Rickenbacker. It appears to be the first "real electric guitar" made by Rickenbacker. It wears the "Rickenbacher Electro" nameplate. Open head, f-holes on the upper bout of the body, horseshoe pickup.

Guitar made by Harmony for Rickenbacker. It wears the "Rickenbacher Electro" nameplate. Perloid headstock, horseshoe pickup. The neck has 17 frets out of the body ! |
