I have an H-1119 with an S-43 Stamp and the wooden "war-time" tailpiece, so they must have made them into 1943 at least. I'll be resetting the neck and bringing it back to life very soon! I have another panelled art deco Harmony, I believe its a Continental branded H-1114 which needs a neck reset as well. I'll have to dig it out and see if the dats stamp is legible. These are very rewarding to refurbish and sound so good when I can get them to play well. Thanks again for this incredible site!! Cheers, Mike - Kellie - 2019-09-02
I have this exact one in mint condition it was made in '42. It is to be played Hawaiian style the strings are raised too high for regular use. It sounds lovely when played. It came with a steel slide and the strings were originally gut like violin strings.
