I have an H1143 Stella with the floating bridge that also has the metal strip along the top of the bridge. It looks more like the Pictures of the 1141 (Cherry Burst finish). Nice player after a neck reset and new nut. - GEORGE OF CALIFORNIA - 2010-02-01
I'm glad I found this site. I found the H1143 sitting a box next to the dumpster where I was working. Saw the Made In USA and took it home. After a washing and rubbing off some paint marks and a good Guitar waxing it looks complete. I will be having the neck reset and replace the bridge on the guitar it does not look original. Cool find and a new project. - Christian - 2010-02-08
I bought a H1143 at a local Wisconsin antiques store. The guitar is probably an earlier production design, because the body numbers list it as a Stella H1141 and the neck is the same as the H1143. Also, the perfing on the outside of the guitar, which I'm sure was white at one time is one single solid yellow line, not two sets of lines. I really enjoy the guitar and play it often.
