I have the H1222 and it plays great. At the time I found it in a dumpster, cleaned it up changed the strings, the sound is crisp and clear, not made to be played loud, The sound stays close to the body. I have a tacoma, fender acoustic, ovasion, and a taylor guitar. this is one of my favorite ones. Great for classical, jazz. thanks for your help on finding out more about this guitar. - timbone - 2009-12-16
My uncle gave me this guitar no pick gard and crack in the body. However sounds real pretty, not loud. I'm stoked I found out about it ! - guitslinger - 2010-09-03
I got my Archtone H1222 Cherry Burst model for Christmas in 1966 when I was 12 years old and I still have it.The Archtone sounds sweeter as time goes by,I'll never part with it,Bill Gates doesn't have enough money to get it from me. - KEN - 2015-07-07
Got this H1222 in 1959 it was well used then just dug it out of closet to restring it and research it's name and possible year of birth. All it has on headstock is a treble clef and made in USA the number inside was 2499H1222 and in another area the letters HVC Nice to find out something about the old girl. - Rr Gilbert - 2018-01-11
Just bought mine from Valu-Village for $22. Was going to give it to my grandchildren to learn to play. Sounds awesome yet. - Collin N - 2018-06-29
Ole Hand-me-down. I found the guitar in the front closet of the house i first lived in with my dad and sister. I asked him about it one day and he said it was grandpas. With the original hard case and seem to be original strings i decide i want to teach myself. Knowing full well grandpop used it for campfire medleys and the occasional woo of the fair lady. Aged at around 74 or so i still play it to this day daily. worn and original. - James Collie - 2020-08-15
Just picked up an H1222 at the thrift store. Missing the pick guard. Mine has block markets, not dots.
