H1306 - Cremona VI
Acoustic archtop - Brown sunburst Engraved tortoise celluloid headpiece. Carved spruce top, maple back and sides. It looks like older models had abalone bindings on body, narrower headstock, split block fretmarkers. During wartime they had wooden pickguard and tailpiece, and downgraded tuners, because of the lack of metal at the time.

I acquired a 1948 H1306 and had the pleasure of restoring it. In the process realized that the tone bars were not glued in, but carved in to the top. Its a pleasure to work on a instrument that some one took such care in building. The war had to have been just ending or just over when it was built. The guitar is a pleasure to hear and play.
