I'm the one who won this great guitar! I'm in the process of a restoration and neck reset. It's the first one I've ever seen! Thanks. Will send pics when completed!!

I just bought a tenor, arched top and back, in good condition that looks a lot like this - Sovereign headstock, spruce top, maple body, F holes. Got the strings yesterday, and she sings. Dime style floating bridge fits like a glove. Frets like new, but the same kind of wear on the top (?). No date stamp or model number that I can find. Metal tail piece. Got to be pre-1960, though, I think. Very sweet sound and nice low action. What a find! Thanks for this great web-site!

Follow-up on the Sovereign tenor archtop - It's a 1941. I can see the date and model stamps through the upper F hole. 479H990 1/2 and 41 - faint but clear blue stamp. Never saw a Harmony dated like that, and H990 and a half makes no sense, but they're clear as day. The frets are still rough along the edge. I think somebody bought this guitar in 1941, went off to war, and didn't come back and his family just held on to it. Approx 37 x 15 x 3 1/4, bound on top, very old style Sovereign logo on headstock, and sweet as honey. Surprisingly loud for its size, too. Wish I could send pictures.
