Carved spruce top, maple back and sides. "Straight" f-holes. The one pictured (thanks to JP) originally had a wooden tailpiece (indicates a wartime model).

I have one. It was my father's and he is no longer able to play it. He is 83. I have seen this guitar since I was little, am 54 now. I am pleased to find you website and get information on it. I just received 4491 in a trade and am loving it.The back is solid maple not ply.It's got a very large neck and sounds terrific.Best harmony archtop I've encountered.
