Picked one up today at a garage sale. Cleaned it up, added some new strings and it sounds just terrific!! - Picker - 2008-07-20
I purchased this guitar as my very first guitar in 1972 for the bargain price of $45.00 brand new. I taught myself how to play with this guitar and a chord book. Awesome sound - I have since had other guitars, but this little fella has an honored place in my collection and is still mint condition with his original case and papers. - OVG - 2012-03-05
I just got my H172 today and it is beautiful. I removed the old strings and cleaned and polished the guitar. It looks fantastic. Bought a Humicase and a new set of strings. Can't wait to finish setting it up. - Guitarist - 2014-02-18
Just picked up an H172 in great shape (the case, not so much). Action is higher than what I'm used to, but this is mitigated by how easy the nylon strings are to play. Wonderful rich tone and volume. Looking forward to many years of playing it. - Benjamin - 2014-02-26
Picked one up at a flea market 15 years ago, still sounds great. Deep bass, good sustain. The finish aged beautifully and the solid maple top has a lot of depth. - Ed - 2016-01-09
just picked up the Harmony H172 at an auction. It is in great shape and sound better than I expected. I have an old Aria 556 classical, but could not pass this one up!
