finest Basses I have ever played. Smooth and mellow. I love my H420. - Dan Boggs - 2007-11-15
Have owned mine since the early 70's took it this week (11/07) put on a new set of strings, adjusted the pick up's and pluged it in for the first time in 20 year's. Man the sound is as unique as it was in the 70's. One of a kind for sure! - steve g - 2011-11-20
Bought one on ebay last month.Love the sound. It is a keeper.Have been using it as my primary bass giging lately. With the short scale it plays like a 6 string guitar. - Ard - 2013-02-20
I actually found an H420 at a garage sale in the early '90s. This was in the summertime and the bass was sitting right out in the direct sun in its open case! A major NO, NO! Up close the bass looked pristine; very little dust and no grime, just super clean. I knew that these harmony basses were quite desirable, so I hastily asked the seller how much she wanted for it. She paused and said, "$50.00?" I whipped out my wallet faster than lightning! I paid the seller and thanked her. A friend of mine who plays upright bass said that I really lucked out on such a find. He brought over his Ampeg 1 X 15 and I plugged in the H420. With just one pluck of the lowest string the windows in my living room buzzed like a swarm of bees! My friend knew that these Harmony basses had tons of low end punch, and if you didn't keep the volume low on your amp everything in your house is gonna shake! I intend to keep my H420 until my ticker comes to a halt. Until then I'll play my bass with gusto, but in my sound proofed practice room:) - Longhaired country boy - 2018-05-18
I have a 9006H420 Harmony hollow body electric bass guitar. I don't play but in my research it is a nice one to have. It is all there except the top of the string adjustment keys did it come like that and you used a small adjustment wrench? Also I'm wanting to sell it. But have no idea where to put it. I'd rather not put on ebay. It has a few nicks but is in very nice condition. Thank you for your knowledge and for this feed.
