I have a Harmony H973 which differs from the one in the photos. It's the same colour and has the same fret markers on a flat fingerboard but has a parallel sided headstock with the treble clef stencil in gold, a plain top, without the line around and a tailpiece like a H1224 Archtone. Number stamp inside reads 3226H973 with a white/blue paper label - Harmony Musical Instruments Quality Guaranteed - Made in Chicago, USA - serial no. 4101. All original, in amazing condition but missing its pickguard. Maybe brought over by a GI in WW2. - K Lawrence - 2011-06-11
I have a arcadia guitar that looks just like this one. The number inside the guitar is 2875H973. Ther is an addittional number of S-42 stamped above the longer number. The neck is still straight, and it plays great. Thanks for this site. - Chris S. - 2013-11-13
I picked up one of these at a flea market in Kentucky. I has cracks in the back and top, but still has an incredible sound. It has the gold stenciling on the headstock and white pickguard. - robert cockrell - 2014-08-29
