Thanks for your excellent site. I bought one of these lap steels about six years ago and didn't know its model number or likely production years until now . One of the original knobs was missing and the volume control would only work at full volume. After some repairs, the old pickup still has a lot of kick in it! I replaced the control knobs with Telecaster knobs to get improved control while playing. I also had the original cord removed and a jack installed on the side away from the player. That may have hurt the resale value but it doesn't matter; I'm not parting with this gem!
