I picked up one of these drom eBay for $35 after shipping. I wanted it for a smaller scale travel guitar that could withstand being used as a beater. The guitar, when I got it, had very low action, making me believe it was set up for a kid to use. I had to fix this, being a bluegrass flat-picker. This guitar lacks in the bass area, but sounds decent, better than any small scale guitar out there these days. Unlike most other small scale guitars, this one has rather good intonation.

My brother-in-law had this guitar as a kid. I'm 50 he's now 42 yrs old. He gave it to me 25+ years ago; I stored it until recently when a luthier I met said he's been buying old "Harmony" guitars (H162, H165) cheap & fixing them up. Mine has the "Harmony" brand on the headstock not "Stella". A piece of wood (rear of the screw hole) on the bridge (bass side) had sheared off so the screw was not holding the bridge. I lined it up, re-drilled another hole, set it up. It now plays & sounds pretty good for a 3/4 student size guitar; solid construction for a nostalgic "beater". I agree with Dan, "sounds decent, better than any small scale guitar out there these days, good intonation" & for a lot less money.

I picked up one of these after scoring a Reso Tone banjo for my wife. I was very much impressed with the quality and sound of these instruments. My 6134 came without tuners, so I installed a set of mini Grover Rotomatics. What an awesome restoration. It has great action that I did not expect. The sound and tone is great for what it is. I think this thing is as good as my buddy's $3000 Taylor parlor guitar. I'd easily go for another one at what they're being priced for.

I recieved this little Stella Harmony guitar when my father passed away in 1977. I was raised in a family of the best guitar pickers in AZ. So when I say this little guitar has the most beutiful rich sound and intonation I have ever heard from a small guitar I speak from a backgroung of experianc. Please don't change anything about the sound of this guitar. The sound touches ones inner most love for guitars.
