  Just rescued one of these gems from the neighbor's trash. It was filthy, and half-strung with metal strings. Cleaned it up with oil soap, and restrung. The neck is straight, and it sounds sweet! The binding on the body is a super cool tortoise shell, like an old pair of Steve McQeen's raybanz. Another survivor for the collection. :)

  I bought this guitar from the Sears Catalog (under the Silvertone Label) in 1972 with my babysitting money when I was 14 years old. I learned to play it over the weekend with the instruction record that came with it (I was already musically inclined)
  It has a rich sound and is easy on the fingers. My teenage sons and husband still play this guitar today, now 35 years later. I have always had great comments from serious guitarist about this guitar and it has played up against Yamahas and other national brands over these years.
  Since I was in my early 20's, I have been trying to figure out what company actually made my guitar. Hooray for Google Searches!!

  Found one of these at a flea market the other day. With a little bit of work this sounds amazing. I shaped a bone nut and bone saddle, added new strings, and replaced the tuning machines. It's hard to stop playing this guitar.

  I bought mine in 1972 brand new. This Christmas I am passing it on to my almost 16 year old granddaughter. My grandson plays electric guitar because of listening to me play folk songs to them both when they were younger. I received much enjoyment through the years from playing. I am grateful and glad to pass this along to my grandchildren. I am now 62 years old.

  My uncle gave me this guitar to repair a year ago that belonged to my aunts mother. It needed new tuners and strings. I fixed the guitar up for him gave it back, he was so pleased that I fixed it up and restored it back to playing condition that he lent it back to me and ended up giving the guitar to me. I'm not sure about the specific year but my aunt told me that her mom bought it over 40 years ago. I have the original case for it (which is falling apart) and the original tags that came on the guitar. I use an age appropriate case for it which is a 1967 Gibson J-40 case (another guitar of mine) and I love playing old folk songs using it. Thanks uncle Jappa!

  I have my dad's. He doesn't play much guitar, but he bought it for his time when he served in the army, in the 70s. When I was a small child, we would play with it, so it has some scratches from us rough handling it. Even with our rough handling, the bridge is still straight, and it still looks good. The tuning keys may need to be replaced, but they are all still there. I've re-strung it, and brushed off the dust.
  It's not worth much, as far as money, as far as I can tell, but it's loaded with sentimental value to me. Regardless of it's monetary worth, I am glad it is a solid instrument that more experienced players love! I look forward to learning some guitar on this.

  I've got two of those H6272. Believe it or not, they are the best classical guitars I possess. And I have about twenty of those instruments ! - all US made, Harmony and Ovation classical (Martin and Guild are much too costly and don't sound really better…). One of my H6272 has a very low strings action (thanks to an american luthier who adjusted it), and it's my daily practice guitar. It is so easy and pleasant to play ! Sounds nice. The other one has a higher action, but sounds even better than the first one. It is my "concert musical instrument". What can I say ? They are treasures to me.

  Found one in a pawn shop in Silsbee Tx today! Gave 40 bucks for it! No case but needs TC!! I’m a Happy Camper!!!
