Purchased this thing (new) in 1975...still have it, too! Decent guitar to have laying around the house, ready to play (as opposed to an instrument you wouldn't want someone to see, grab and start strumming away on if you fear buckle rash or other type abuse). Reasonable tone, considering I paid $70.00 for it. The guitar stays in tune and is comfortable to play. The Harmony H6341 is built well (for a low-end acoustic). Harmony made a slew of these, don't know how many are left. - tarajess - 2009-05-31

My Mom bught a Harmony H6341 back in '72. I played it for years then loaned it to a friend in '86. In '97 he ruturned it to me, he said he had forgotten all about it till he was cleaning his attic. Now we live in Houston, Tx and attics get pretty damn hot here, but with a little cleaning up and a new set of strings it sounded just as great as the first time I played it. I still have my Harmony and plan on keeping till I die, then my son gets her and I know he'll enjoy just as much as I have. One fine guitar. - Ed - 2009-11-30
I have an H 6341. Bought it for $10.00. Very good condition. Just a few small scrapes around the edges. Replaced the broken bridge saddle with a hand made custom walnut one. Great action,tone,and playability. - jwheel77 - 2011-02-13
Im repairing this model for a friend. The sides are solid wood. Im positive, the top is the cheapest looking laminate I have ever seen, but the sides are solid, im not positive the back isnt also. Anyone heard of anything like this from Harmony? - François (webmaster) - 2011-02-14
jwheel77, from 1930 until 1970-71, ALL Harmony acoustics were solid wood, even the cheapest of the cheapo, and they made zillion of them. In the seventies they began to use laminates on the lower end of the range, some with "photo-finish" faux spruce tops. Then they went out of business in 1975... (I wrote 1930 because some very early samples from the 20's have laminated backs too). - Johnny Boston - 2011-08-27
I bought my used H-6341 w/soft case at a flee market for $40.00 in 2008. It had gut strings on it, has white painted banding around the edges,is two tone tobacco to light brown color, very nice top finish without any cracks, has the Harmony stamp on the top of the headstock, no cracks in the wood but, has a few minor chips out of the back. It does not have a truss rod that I can see and the neck is very straight with low string to fretboard action. The date stamp inside is F-73-ML and the sn#is:3297S1214. I believe the "F" indicates it was made in the Fall. "73" indicated the year. Does anyone know what the "ML" stamped after the 73 stands for?

I just got this guitar for free when I helped clean a garage. Its a nice guitar but the board opposite of the tuning head is coming up in on corner. And last week I had only held a guitar but with the help of YouTube I can play a few notes and even a few "riffs" from some songs. GREAT STARTER GUITAR!!! I bought an H6341 a few months ago off of Craigslist. I was told it was from the 60's and am disappointed to find out it isn't. I still enjoy the guitar as it is in fine shape and had been professionally setup. Can't find any 'date' markings on this one, though. Just 7051H6341. - Bjohn - 2017-06-28
These "cheapo laminate photo finish faux" spruce tops are real
spruce, laminated over birch, poplar or whatever else the Harmony expert luthiers preferred, for a high quality laminated top tonewood. I don't know who started this myth. Harmony, unlike Martin and whatever else copied (often very well, in fact) in Japan, didn't ever build a guitar top out of photographic paper!!! Another thing I've noticed on these old harmonies is the position markers are actually mother of pearl not bad for a starter guitar
