I have an H1143 Stella with the floating bridge that also has the metal strip along the top of the bridge. It looks more like the Pictures of the 1141 (Cherry Burst finish). Nice player after a neck reset and new nut.

I'm glad I found this site. I found the H1143 sitting a box next to the dumpster where I was working. Saw the Made In USA and took it home. After a washing and rubbing off some paint marks and a good Guitar waxing it looks complete. I will be having the neck reset and replace the bridge on the guitar it does not look original.
Cool find and a new project.

I bought a H1143 at a local Wisconsin antiques store. The guitar is probably an earlier production design, because the body numbers list it as a Stella H1141 and the neck is the same as the H1143. Also, the perfing on the outside of the guitar, which I'm sure was white at one time is one single solid yellow line, not two sets of lines. I really enjoy the guitar and play it often. Harmony Stella 976H1141 1964.

I have an H1143 dated F-64 but it doesn't have the screwed-on bridge. It has a glued-on wooden bridge.

just bought a one owner Barclay (Harmony) 4220H1143 marked (X) 69, which was in a hard shell case. It obviously was never used. Has the screwed on bridge--way out of proper scale length. Neck is straight and the angle is good!! The frets have rust and have lifted slightly at each end so as to look "inverted/bowed". Plays OK at the cowboy chords, but my intention is to do a few things to make it a great player: 1. new Martin style bridge 2. remove frets; resurface the fretboard to a slight radius; install MOP dots; install new frets. Once properly intonated, this will be an awesome player!! Love that it's absolute mint condition, and built when I was in high school. Wish it was a Corvette--it would be worth a mint.
