models H913 - Stella 12 string
Acoustic flatop 12 string - Natural
Production year(s) : 1969-1971 (other years possible, not verified)

Very similar to previous model H912 - 12 string / 12 frets neck. "moderately priced" - Auditorium size. The 1969 catalog says "CAUTION : It is best not to tune a 12-string guitar as high as regular 6-string guitar pitch. Experienced players recommend tuning three or four half-tones lower, to avoid strain wich might pull up the guitar top or bow the neck".

I owned a stella harmony 12 string,I believe a H-920 or 922,but it was not an H913 aud. model.I wonder if the instrument can 'detune' down a full octave as the early o.schmidt stella la scala, soverign and galliano.looks like a gorgeous guitar though!remember,if your playing country blues for example, that as I have found, that blind willie johnsons open D tuneing was A-D-A-D-F#-A, AND NOT D-A-D-F#-A-D,and often a step below that (C),probably for long extended string life and tone.I also own and play an 8 string bouzouki(dropped 1&1\2 steps from C-F-A-D to A-D-F#-B)WHAT A SOUND!and,a 12 string tiple also tuned to its standard pitch of A-D-F#-B (oct.lower than bz.)these two ins.might help expand your sound of goth even more!I bought the tiple from lonestar co.,who thanked me and said it was one of 13 hand made ins.s at Paracho, mexico.YOU have great taste in strings and best of luck and success allways!!sincerely, chris young.

got one of these couple of years ago with top split and neck loose. Removed and repaired top and reset neck, reglued braces. Maskes a great 12 string slide guitar. Guitar is real solid. Have a guild and yamaha 12's but will keep this one.

Managed by luck to buy one of these imported into the UK from USA. It was restored by luthier Mike Savage in the UK for me. It's in excellent condition, solid as a rock and has a big rollicking tone like an old time piano being played at the bottom of the sea. Not the easiest to play, as very wide neck but you just have to find ways round it, like the old-time boys did. I have mine tuned down a step to D to avoid strain on the neck. Plays great in standard tuning or open G and even good for slide. One of the last ever made and it stays with me! My advice - get one, never let it go.

I got mine for a grad present 39 years ago! Its been all over the world in a cardboard case and it looks it. Would trade it for anything!

I'm in London, in England and I just took delivery of my 12 String.
    It's a 1969 Harmony Stella H913
It's had a pro set up by the people who restore and sell old vintage guitars/Funky Junk Guitars of Nashville, TN, USA
and for it, it plays and sounds great.
Nice action/I've heard horror stories about these guitars after I purchased it but before it came/I took delivery... Maybe I got lucky/maybe it's that pro set up, but this acoustic 12 string is nice.
