My 940 is a sunburst sporting a white pickguard with the vine motif. My first guitar...Mom & Dad paid $75 for it in a furniture store in my hometown and gave it to me for Christmas in 1971. She's got some scratches and can stand to be reworked a bit, but still plays well. - cruelwilson - 2012-09-07
I have an H940 that differs a little from the photos. The tuning keys on my 5584H940 are chrome and the set pins have a dot in the center. The bridge is not bone but plastic. With the adjustable bridge, and the action set high is great as a lap slide guitar as well. - savmedoc - 2014-09-04
I got my H940 on ebay about 8 years ago for $25.00. It was unplayable, but I reset the neck and it now plays beautifully! It's not quite as bright as spruce top guitars but it has a very pleasing full tone. I've used it on gigs and really enjoy playing it. The stamped date is F-71. - Nigel hancock - 2016-02-24
My Stella Harmony 940 has a serial number 5063. Is it possible to date the guitar from this please?
