I've got a blue and blue 1957 Catalina....my daughter found it in a junk store for $48. I put clear packing tape over the cracks in the top, and put some new tuners on the treble side. This is an amazing light and airy sounding guitar, works great for bottleneck...great blues guitar....looks terrible, but sounds real nice. - Ol' Picker - 2011-06-11
Got a blue blue that's still a player & sound's great. Would love to find a Salmon/Charcoal to have a pair. - SlapNTickle - 2013-04-05
I just bought one that appears to be made in 1958. - AnnMarie - 2016-04-08
My first guitar! My daddy bought it for me in 1973, when I was 11, for $5 at a yard sale. The strings were rusty and a mile high above the neck, but I learned to play it, just as it was. (I never thought of changing the strings.) I wish I still had it. - dave - 2016-08-09
My dad has this guitar. He bought new in 1958 for $29.95. He was in 4th grade and took his first lessons on it.
