Extra Auditorium size - birch construction - top grained to ressemble spruce. 1940 catalog shows the H1193 with a white pickguard and a pined bridge, but it looks like some were produced during wartime witha wooden tailpiece and a black pickguard.

I have one of these. It is stamped S-42 in the body and Wizard Made in USA on the headstock. pics available
