This model was my grandfather's guitar when he arrived to Chicago from Prague in 1938. He was a singer and performer. We found the guitar in my grandmother's attic in the 80's, completely destroyed by improper storage. The stamp says 437H1201, so it could be from 1937. I have a photo of him playing it dated 1940, but he had it earlier. I have since rebuilt it and it plays beautifully with a sweet ring like tone and great sustain. The neck is very thin and fast action. The quality of the wood is exceptional, with a one-piece Honduran mahogany back and very tight grained spruce top. I finished it in old-school high gloss lacquer, and it is a show piece. Your database helped me correctly identify it! Thank you
