I found one of these for next to nothing and after resetting the neck and grinding down the saddle, I have a very pleasing sounding folk guitar. Like many old Harmonys, it's an odd mix of cheap mass production (painted dots, slopped glue, stenciled rosette, non-radiused fretboard) and contrastingly luxurious (by today's standards) elements - like it's bubinga bridge and fingerboard and large celluloid pickguard. It holds it's tune well and has a nice throaty tenor punch. Well worth the $50.00. - Mark Lisicki - 2008-05-25
I bought mine on ebay for 30 dollars. It's made of plywood, with a painted body. I set it up for bottleneck playing, with a high action, and it sounds wonderful. Happiness is just a slide away. - Charlie - 2008-06-30
I bought my Stella in 1973 it's a 72 model. I did some checking and found that Oscar Schmidt may have made my Stella. I am in the process of regluing everything and am going to reoutfit it with tuners and touckh up painting ad re add the painted on Binding . She was playing when I set her aside in storage and minor craks in the gluing front and back and re gluing of Brass's while I'm inside.I wouldn't trade it for anything ,it was my first guitar I bought for myself and paid 49.95 From a Lona Jeweler in our town.I Cherish it as well as my 1939 Harmony Patrician Standard High line guitar for its day. - François (webmaster) - 2008-06-30

I found my jewel about 20 yards off Clearwater Beach here in Florida in 1978. She was floating about 1 inch under the water. Everyone around thought it was a jellyfish until I caught a good visual. I ran out, grabbed it and have been playing it ever since. It has perfect tone, plays amazingly and with the pickup I had put in back in the mid 80's, she is wonderful. Until today I knew nothing about the guitar. It has the letters NT scratched into the body and when asked, I've always said,"No Tellin" what it stands for. The head and logo on mine are distinctive to your picture but I have white line around the body and head. - paul coles - 2015-03-02

Have one I bought back in 1975 and have my grandson playing it now. In rough condition as it has been to many parties and campfire outings ,but still plays and sounds nice. Would never sell mine as it was my first guitar of many.Reminds me of "tigger", Willies old beat up guitar, and has played Willie tunes for decades. Found my little gem sitting by the curb waiting for the garbage pickup. Rescued her put old set of machine heads new strings, and she is sweet.
