I just picked one up at a local Salvation army in Chicago. It was in pretty good condition and sounds great for 27 bucks. That's less than the original selling price. - jspony2001 - 2009-07-30
I have a Stella H929 and I believe the date stamp is S 63. It is in great condition with a small repair to the back. I got this guitar when I was about 10 or 11 (1965 or 1966), but my brother took it after I became an adult. He kept it until his death in 2008 when it was returned it to me. I am going to take it to a local dealer and see about putting new strings on it and assess the integrity with the damaged back. I remember teaching myself to play this guitar as a child. - Jacob - 2010-02-17

Have one of these that has been collecting dust...I cant find any dates on it though? The serial number is 7021H929. Anybody have an advice where to look for more information? I have a picture of my mom playing it in 1966 (ish). Thanks! - Ken Mallard - 2010-10-11

I saw this at a big Car Swap meet. The fella had a bunch of antique stuff and this little guitar.. Played it and liked it..He was asking $100.00. I came back later on my way out and played it again,. and ended up getting it for $50.00. I absolutely love to play this thing. has great action, frets, and the sound is pure Robert Johnson... It's in great shape with only scratches and a slightly bent tuning peg. Date in the sound hole cant be read at all due to overspray from the finish.. I am now hooked on Stellas and am looking for more on Ebay.. - Shelley - 2011-12-27

A lovely 3/4 at a garage sale fell into my hands today . The original owner who recived it as a kid in 69 or 70 was thrilled to hear me play a quick blues riff in his driveway . I quickly tuned two strings and it sounded awesome. He had taken two lessons and put it away , it is near mint . Im havin a good day , l love it and have picked it up ten times tonight ,my 914 Taylor is sittin in its case feeli left out im sure. - Allyson - 2016-08-05
I found one:) It has only Stella stenciled on headstock and stenciled 3 sets of 3 bars on the frets with rounded neck and stamps inside that read FVP and 1947H292 also a decal that reads "Bruno means security" and a solid metal tailpiece. Any ideas? - Roy Jones - 2016-10-03
The 6 string 3/4 dot inlay pin bridge version that is identical to its tenor 4 string cousin is the exact one used by Audrey Hepburn in the film Breakfast at Tiffany's - ThomasCat - 2019-08-18
