this was my first guitar, purchased via Heathkit in '68 or so. I was 14. It waited a long time for delivery, and when it arrived I missed the delivery truck. My parents were on vacation, I had to beg a friend's dad to drive me way down into West Oakland CA to the UPS depot. Then I had to assemble the thing myself... had to beg a friend of my brother to show me how to wire it up... had to learn how to string a steel-string guitar... tuned it up using the "tuning record"... and that was it! I became an Electric Guitar Player - the greatest event in my life (surpassed only many years later when I became a father).

I have a Harmony by Heath with an Oct. 1966 stamp on the pick guard. I suppose it's close enough to be a 1967, but the date stamp is '66, I am currently looking for tuners for it....
