  I owned and gigged with one of these in 1967/68 before I switched to a Stratocaster. It sounded rocky and chords toned nicely for bluesey sound, but, the short scale was a handicap and I wanted/longed for the fender tone.

  My dad, a big Heathkit fan, and I constructed one of these in England in 1968. I just brought it out of mothballs, restrung it, and plugger 'er in. It looks and sounds as good as it did way back then. I was disappointed not to get something off the shelf at the time but I think I got a bargain.
