The Regal R230 (photo in red background) w/ the inverted trapezoid bridge was found w/ the orignal bridge sheared off at the top, & the base completely missing. The guitar was in excellent condition, so I decided to have it rebuilt for increased strength & better performance w/ a custom made ebony pin bridge that followed the outline and aesthetic of the original. The work was done by a certified luthier. A bridge plate was installed & the top drilled for pins. The result was spectacular. This concert guitar now has a strong, subtle voice & excellent response. The inside was stamped F-64WN (1964). Thanks to all who provided photos & information to this database. TD - TDinDC - 2009-08-30
I bought mine in July 1962 in Billings Montana. The bridge popped off and had to be replaced about 16 years later. I also replaced the original machines. The guitar is otherwise still in good shape.
