I got one of these while in high school, and used it to make a little spending money. It's now missing a tone knob and a pick guard, that I would like to replace if I can find them. It's held up well thru 5 kids and 12 grandkids. We all love it.

I finally got the tone knob I needed, but still need a pick guard. I play this guitar often, now that I have retired.

I have one of these guitas that is in as near to perfect condition as a guitar this age can be. It has never been gigged and has been played a handful of times in the past 25 years.
I am looking for a qualified technician (Luthier) to professionally adjust the neck and action so that it will be in optimum playing condition.
Right now it sits in the original case, tuned down to preserve the neck integrity, waiting to be played.

My Grandfather recently passed away and left one of these beautiful guitars to me. I've been cleaning and adjusting it the last few days and it plays wonderfully, especially considering how old it is and that it hasn't lived a easy life. It seems to me the easiest way to tell a 1427 from a 1385 is the truss rod cover. They are white on the 1427 and black on the 1385 (I think).

I have an early 1953 model Espanda. It is by far one of the most beautiful jazz guitars ever made. 18 years ago when I saw it hanging on a wall in a music store and bought it on the spot. It is great for studio recording, performing. Never goes out of tune.

I just got one today on ebay. Can't wait to get it. This thing has Gibson P13 pickups on it. I play blues mainly and alot of pro blues players are going to these and their cousins the H62. Same guitar but with the Harmony name on them. If you are looking for a replacement pickgaurd may I suggest ebay. They sell them for about $20. Look it up under H62 pickgaurd. Same thing.

The easiest way to tell the difference between a 1385 and a 1427 is that the 1385 is 3.5" deep. The 1427 is only 2-3/4" deep.
