I've just resurrected a 1967 #1479 from obscurity. Great little rig, the DeArmonds sure give that classic 60's garage/surf through a cheap tremolo amp. Neck is very beefy, 50's style, good radius for my medium-size hand. Mine is solid red, 2-tone burst on the neck, black headstock. All original, dirty as heck but 0 fret ware. Love this cheap classic for tone and play-ability. A yard sale dream; if you find one don't pass it up!!! - jay heet - 2008-02-12
I got one of these (in two tone burst) for Xmas, maybe '65 or so, along with the twin twelve Silvertone amp. Can still remember the sound, and feel, and how full it all was, especially compared to a typical single coil, overdriven sound. Eventually replaced this with a '66 Super and Tele. Still not sure I did the right thing... - digitaldna23 - 2008-07-16

I HAVE THE 319.1479 AND THE 1482 AMP. GOD I WISH THEY WERE IN TOP CONDITION BUT STILL PRETTY GOOD. - taxirecs - 2008-12-18
I just picked up a '66 tabacco-burst 1479 off of ebay. I've had a'67 single-pickup Harmony h15 that kills. I love the punch of the bridge pickup. It has a great tone for recording that cuts through without doing anything to it. I love these old Harmony/Silvertone guitars! Tone to burn!
