I have owned this guitar since 1973. I was 16 when I bought it used from a guy at school. I am now 50. It's got the nicest neck ever! I had a set of Grovers put on it in 1989 - the original tuners were poor quality. I had my mechanic block off the bigsby because with it just wouldn't stay in tune with it active. I almost sold it many times when I was younger, but I am really glad now that I did not. - Plasticsoul - 2009-03-24
My numero uno guitar. Got mine off eBay about 5 years ago and it's been my main squeeze ever since. Came with a Malita bridge. Those silverfoils make this guitar a tone monster - from jazz to Hendrix - you can get it with this guitar. - Dave - 2009-07-15
I have owned this guitar for 3 years, it is one of the greatest guitars I have played and I have many. Each of the silver foil pickups have a distinctive tone and with the three toggle switches the tonal variations are endless. The neck is slim and fast and the bigsby is cool. Excellent build quality and another great thing about this guitar is that it was only offered between 68 and 69 in the Sears catalog an is quite rare. Never gonna let this one go! - PickinLouie - 2010-07-17
I purchased this guitar at a liquidation store of Sears Roebuck & Co. in 1969. It is one of my prized posessions and it has been played many hours. The original bridge is not compatible with the Bigsby because it does not stay in tune. Replacement of the bridge with a tunematic bridge improved the performance of remaining in tune. It is an excellent guitar. Most people that purchase this guitar keep it.
