I bought one of these new 1970 or 71. So they were being made before 1972.

I just bought one of these "Jet Set" w/case at a pawnshop. When I got it home I looked inside the storage compartment in the case and found the original hangtag. Owner had filled it out. Bought April '73. Inside guitar says S-72M. I can't find them in Harmony catalogs, except in 1971. So...? It needs a neck set, but still sounds great!

After further research, I bought mine in may of 1971. The one that I have does NOT have the medal saddle and adjustable bridge. Anyone know anything about that?

I have a Soveriegn that looks like H1264 the whole "serial # 614H1264", the last number is a litte hard to read. It looks like it was made in the fall of 1970 "F-70". I t has a wonderful sound to it and is in greate great shape.

I found my Jet Black 1264 in VG+ condition in late 2002 in Alameda, CA at Thin Man. I had not seen one intact since the '70s. This Axe is a Tone Monster! Big woody sound - likes to be played hard with medium strings and a heavy flatpick. You should see the looks I get at the Bluegrass Jam when I whip this out. No, it's not a Martin - Yes it is a CANNON.

I have a Model H1264 Harmony Sovereign, bought in 1971. I love it! I play amateurish. It has moved with me several times and I have never kept it in a case. It's in pretty good shape with just a few knicks.

I've had this guitar kicking around since 1985. It is a black Harmony Sovereign, F70..no other markings. I think it came with the original case but not positive. I play sax but pick this up once-in-awhile hit the few cords that I know.It has a big sound and seems to stay, pretty much, in tune for ever.
This guitar has only the right-hand pick guard but looks exactly the same as the F70 featured.

I have a Harmony Sovereign H1264 F-71WN in the Starburst finish with original case. My dad bought it new. Just had the neck reset. Plays great.

I bought my 1264 in El paso TX I think it was in 1971 It cost me $200 with case the remaining serial numbers were scratched out after the H1264 and like the other comments I think the
F70 is the year it was made. It's a solid guitar with a good sound. I heard that stair way to heaven was originally recorded on this or a similar model.

Just picked one up for a trade on Craigslist. Its seen some wear but all in all is in real good shape. Just needs a neck reset and I am in business. It sounds amazing! Intonation is spot on too!

Just had a 1970 model restored by Mouradian Guitars in Winchester, MA. Can't recommend those guys enough. Gave an honest opinion - no neck reset needed - and gave it a solid set up and fixed the nut. Sounds incredible. Previous owner either removed the top pick guard or tried to reapply it with gasoline - it was bent out of shape but had it reseated and basically looks good as new. Someone would make a killing making new pick guards for these old Harmonys.

These are so understated! I've had mine 40 plus years. My friends with high end guitars love to play the Harmony. Neck was reset 4 years ago, a bone bridge installed and that is it. I still keep it in the old chipboard red lined case.

I own vintage and new Bourgeois, Collings, Martin, and Gibson acoustics but I'm still chasing this tone.

just got mine. the sound is unlike any other. the pic guards replaced, but still very playable.. love this beast

I see from my first comment that I bought this Jet Set in 2006. I then reset the neck. It now plays easy and sounds great! My favorite hollow body!

This was my first guitar, what I learned to play on. Loved this baby!!!! Sadly, several years ago it was stolen.

    My H1264 is a 1970 date. I bought it in 1972 for $25.00 used.
It has been a great guitar, and did require a neck reset a few years back.
To Kim, seems as though your Sovereign is 1 serial number newer than mine. I have #613H1264 F70.
