Harmony made guitars | Back to brand list

Brand : Regal
Distributed by Fender

Guitars shown below were made by Harmony and sold under the Regal brand. It doesn't mean that all Regal guitars were made by Harmony.

Harmony aquired the rights to the Regal brand name in 1954. Regal guitars were licensed to Fender in the late 1950s, and some of the Harmony built "Regals" were rebranded with the Fender logo. This agreement continued up until the mid 1960s, when Fender introduced their own flat-top guitars.
In the seventies, Harmony made some acoustics with the "Regal" brand on the headstock but with a Harmony label in the soundhole, these models were in Harmony catalogs and sold by Harmony distributors. We can see them as Harmony guitars using a Regal model name, find them classified under the main Harmony brand on this site (H6600, H6382, H1269).
