4 Harmony models
H60 - Meteor double cutaway (1967-1970) - Electric hollowbody - Sunburst
Meteor 1967 model, double cutaway with 2 enlarged single coil pickups. Hagstrom adjustable bridge. Head is black with a white trussrod cover. "T" type tailpiece. Models from ca. 1968 have white plastic inlays inside f-holes. H60 model number was previously used on a one pickup electric archtop in the fifties. The same Meteor model wears H61 model number in the 1971 catalog. The previous Metor model was H70 with single cutaway and different pickups.
H61 - Meteor (1971-1972) - Electric hollowbody - Sunburst
2 large pickups - H61 Meteor appears in the 1971 catalog. It seems to be the same as the previous H60 Meteor but with new "jazz" tailpiece and a 3 ply (b/w/b) overlay on head, and black trussrod cover. Plastic inlays in f-holes. Curiously, the '71 catalog shows a dot neck but all known samples have block inlays as other Meteor versions. The "Harmony Meteor" logo still appears on the head on the catalog's picture but the known samples only have the "Harmony" logo. (To avoid confusion : H61 model number was also used in the fifties for the 1352 Silvertone archtop cutaway with one P13 pickup). Same model was renumbered H661 from 1972.
H70 - Meteor (1958-1966) - Electric hollowbody - Sunburst
Single cutaway 2 pickups, "golden tone" then "double-mustache"- Meteor was H60 with double cutaway and large pickups from 1967. Top were laminated spruce, but it looks like some samples were laminated maple as well. The Meteor was available for left hand players (as H70LH).
H71 - Meteor (1958-1964) - Electric hollowbody - Blonde
Blonde version of the H70 single cutaway Meteor - produced only untill 1964 - H71 model number was later (1971) used for a different model, with large pickups and Bigsby. Most have a spruce top, but some were made with a maple top.
